Award winning artist Cesar Sanchez was born in Madrid , Spain in 1934 where he completed his studies in Graphic Design and Drawing at the Academy Martinez Pita.
In addition to the many awards he has won, Cesar's work has been published in Antiques & Art in Victoria, as well as in the prestigious Pastel Artist International and Australia Show Case magazines.
In 1968 Cesar moved his young family to Australia where he continued his studies in art. This included studying oil painting in 1970 with eminent artist John Balmain for 6 years and with Bruce Barklamb for 1 year.
From 1989 to 1993 Cesar extended his studies to pastel painting with leading artist Robin Kittelyty-Redman at the "Whistler Cottage" studio in Inverleigh. He then spent a further 3 years studying under internationally acclaimed artist Barbara McManus.
Cesar has also attended a workshop seminar in portraiture at the Academy Art Centre in Honolulu conducted by Master Pastellist, Daniel Greene.
In addition to his study at the Academy Martinez Pita Cesar studied Electrical Engineering at the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Germany.
