Wangaratta born Jennifer Scott is a self-taught artist who always excelled in art. The focus of her art is Wildlife utilising watercolour, which fits in perfectly with her other major interests that are wildlife photography, bird observing, botany and entomology. She primarily paints in watercolour,
Jennifer began painting seriously in 1987 and since that time has continually exhibited her paintings at numerous Art Shows throughout Victoria, including the Camberwell Rotary and the Australian Wildlife Artist’s Society exhibitions. She has won a number of first prizes, and has also illustrated a book cover and a cassette cover. Jennifer is also currently selling a beautiful illustrated Birthday Calendar that features her work.
In 1975 Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Botany and Zoology from Monash University and began her career as a biological illustrator for C.S.I.R.O. in 1976.
She then went on to gain a Diploma of Teaching, and is presently working as a Biology teacher in a Christian School in Melbourne’s East.
A committed Christian, Jennifer endeavours to use her gift of painting to reveal God’s wonderful Creation to others.
